tjou-tjou is having fun at i love my laundry with the sweet&soutie girls. our products/designs/illustrations will be for sale in this funky laundry for the next month.

BRUL! sê die monster

the sweet & soutie girls are busy with another love project. this time we are making creatures from left over laundry {like that lonely single sock in the basket}. hilda kruger made lovely badges that we can add as we go {look at a post that i did on her work, here}. i just added a purple backing and viola herbert's done. the ongoing creative process is captured under the heading exquisite creature corpse, so check it out.

the last bunny

most of you that follow my blog know that i have had to make a lot of bunnies/parts of bunnies
over the past few months. go and read the previous 'post' if you missed it.
this grey and purple bunny is the last bunny on my list. i also made two for my daughters.
this bunny is for a baby girl that will be born during the december holidays.
her mom is the 'c' that started sweet & soutie with me.
chantelle reveals the unglamorous truth of pregnancy on her blog, dipped 'n dusted.
read her posts, you will roll around laughing.

soos julle weet het ek gedryg dat ek nou gatvol is vir hasies. gaan kyk weer na my vorige 'post'. hierdie grys en pers hasie is die laaste hasie op my lysie. ek het twee vir my twee dogtertjies gemaak en hierdie een is vir 'n nuwe babatjie wat oor die desembervakansie gebore gaan word. 
die mamma wat haar blou oë gefladder het en 'pretty please' gevra het dat ek 'n derde hasie moet maak, is die 'soutie' deel van sweet & soutie.
chantelle het die verhaal van haar swangerskap vasgevang in haar blog ~ dipped 'n dusted, gaan lees gerus, jy sal rol van die lag.

'n lat vir my eie gat.....

 "mom, when are you going to make me a bunny?" ~ this has been ringing in my ears now for two week, while i've been working on the sweet & soutie ~ project. one down two to go.

"mamma, wanneer gaan jy vir my 'n hasie maak?" ~ dit gebeur nou as jy voor jou kinders aan die
sweet & soutie ~ projek werk.

and the exquisite bunny corpse

...is born! 
inspired by the dada movement's 'exquisite corpse' we've decided that with our small hands, we will make a big difference by collectively designing and making 6 designer bunny toys. we'll put together various templates of basic bunnies and then send them through the group, everyone who wants to play can then add a personal little touch to the bunnies making use of their particular skills/talents. once they're finished we'll sell them and use the money to support a baby/kid related charity,
by buying them whatever is on their wishlist.

the aim is to use our collective creative skills to make a difference in the lives of others.
