ek het weer op 'n pragtige winkel afgekom wat ou goed of goed wat oud lyk, maar hulle is splinternuut, afgekom. ek het 'n paar fototjies van die emaljegoed vir julle gepost. daar is natuurlik vele meer pragtige ou/nuut-ou goete, gaan kyk bietjie hier.

'n nuwe-ou houtknop

my first post for the new year is about enamel ware, how perfect. i found this enamel dish in a little shop in bredasdorp during our holiday. the lid needed a handle and my dad had the perfect handmade wooden knob in his garage.
~ thank you dad, my new-old bit enamel ware for my ever growing collection, looks stunning.

kom ons skop die nuwe jaar af met 'n stukkie emalje wat ek tussen 'n klomp ander ou goedjies uitgegrawe het in 'n winkeltjie in bredasdorp. the ou bakkie se dekseltjie was sonder 'n handvatsel. my pa het natuurlik die perfekte hangedraaide houtknoppie tussen al sy ander skatte in sy motorhuis vir my uitgegrawe. 
~ dankie pa my bakkie lyk nou pragtig.

my emalje obsessie

ek wou al lankal met julle al hierdie pragtige kos-blogspots / fotograwe se webblaaie deel. ek het op hulle afgekom die laaste twee jaar. {te danke aan my obsessie met emalje} sodra ek 'n pragtige foto met emalje op pinterest sien dan pin ek dit op my emalje-bord. hier is 'n paar wat my oog gevang het van links na regs:

1.  my easy cooking, met meraai se paai. {moes net met die een afskop, love die naam}
2.  playful cooking, sjoe maar hierdie lieflike chickpea en yogurt-sop klink heerlik.
3.  williams-sonoma, moes net 'n koue dingetjie tussen al die warm goete ingooi. {dis mos somer}
4.  delicious shot, met die fab shot van 'n heerlike knoffel-sop.
5.  white on rice couple, dit laat my sommer opslag lus kry om rond te loop met 'n emalje emmertjie.
6.  simply delicious, hierdie geroosterde tamaties is sommer direk in die blikbord gebak en lyk heerlik.

a sneak peek of things to come

the shoestring collective pop-up shop

a few weeks back i was invited by my friend leila, to sell my mugs and plates in her and her partner's pop-up shop in garden centre {cape town}, called the shoestring collective pop-up shop. they displayed my products beautifully. you will find loads of stunning designs, jewellery, products, plants... the list goes on and on and on.

a gift from mom

if you ever drive through bredasdorp, go and visit julian's, a restaurant and ceramic showroom. i love their hand painted ceramic pieces. this set was a present from my mom. i love the old chipped enamel motives that was drawn on the pieces.

in bredasdorp is daar 'n lieflik restaurant met die naam, julian's. dis 'n pragtige restaurant, maar wat my oog al die afgelope paar jaar vang, is hulle handgemaakte keramiek produkte. hierde koffie en teestel het my ma vir my gegee vir kersfees. ek is mal oor die 'chipped'-emalje en emalje-'stencil'-print gevoel van die handgeverfde moetiewe op die stel.

ek speel te lekker met kleur. my jan pierewiet patrone gaan nou ook beskikbaar wees in meer kleurkombinasies. die idee is om so na as moontlik die kleure te gebruik van tradisionele emalje in suid-afrika. hou kristen se winkel {design kist} dop as julle muurpapier of materiaal wil koop.
